Alice Bechtold 72 passed away Sunday April 7th, 2024, unexpectedly at the Monument hospital in Rapid City.

Alice was born to Everard and Helen (Summers) Irwin in Ainsworth Nebraska. Their family moved to the Black Hills in the early 60s where they have since called home.

Alice had various jobs throughout her life, taking care of her mother, grandchildren and great grandchildren being her favorite.

Alice  loved her children and very much loved to spoil her grandkids and her great grandkids even more.

Alice is preceded in death by her parents; brother in law Harry Burdette;,son, Dougie and great grandson, Ezekiel.

Survived by her sisters/brother and their spouses Sandra Burdette, Carolyn (Ralph) Hancock, Nora (Bob) Brill  and Cliff Irwin. Her children Lee (Bonnie), Misti (Jerome) and Jonathan, Nieces and nephews as well as several grandchildren and great children.

A celebration of Alice's life will be held 11:00 A.M. until 3:00 P.M., Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the American Legion in Hot Springs, SD.  Come share memories and enjoy a bite to eat.
