Alma Vetter, age 81, passed away November 5, 2011, at the David M. Dorsett Health Care Facility in Spearfish, SD.
Alma was born May 27, 1930, in Winner, SD, to Frank and Mary Ann (Zajic) Vetter. She resided at the South Dakota Developmental Center in Red Field, SD and Custer, SD, then the David M Dorsett Health Care Facility in Spearfish. She attended the Northern Hills Training Center Retirement Programs.
Alma was a joy to everyone she met. She lived to and loved to sing, her favorite song was "Silent Night". She loved Johnny Cash and gospel music, she also loved church.
Through her many friends at South Dakota Developmental Center in Custer, David M. Dorsett Health Care Facility in Spearfish and Northern Hills Training Center She lived a joyous 81 years.
She is survived by her guardian and friend, Donna Talley and Alma's many friends.
A wake will be held at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2011, at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Custer, SD.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, November 10, 2011, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Custer with Father Peter Kovarik officiating. Interment will be at the South Dakota Developmental Center Cemetery (Star Academy) following the Mass.
