Obituary

Ann (Musty) Eisler, 87 year old Custer, SD resident, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010 at Custer Regional Senior Care. A graveside service will be held at a later date with interment in the South Lawn Cemetery in Piermont, NH.

Ann Eisler was born June 9, 1923 in Piermont, NH to Alfred and Marion (Gorham) Musty. She grew up on the family dairy farm and graduated from high school in 1940 from Bradford Academy in Bradford, VT. She attended the University of Bishop's College in Lennoxville, Quebec, Canada for two years. Ann was a World War II veteran having served in the Women's Army Corps branch of the U.S. Army beginning in 1945. She was honorably discharged in October of 1946.

On October 19, 1947, she married Everett Eisler in Woodsville, NH. The couple moved west and lived in various western states eventually settling in Buffalo, WY where Ann lived for twenty-five years. They divorced in 1981.

Ann worked for various businesses throughout her career as a bookkeeper. She also drove a truck transporting construction materials from nearby states to Wyoming in support her husband's building construction business, she kept books for her husband's business, and managed a campground business she and her husband later built.

After retiring in 1988, she enjoyed traveling the country, residing in a 5th wheel RV trailer she pulled. Ann served as a Custer State Park volunteer in South Dakota's Black Hills for four summer seasons in the early '90's. In 1995, she moved to Colorado, where she resided until 2007 when she moved to Custer, SD.

Survivors include one son, Lincoln Eisler of Windsor, CT; one daughter, Lynn Redden, of Custer, SD; one grandson, Kip Redden and his wife Becca of Buffalo, WY; two great-grandchildren, Payton and Carter Redden of Buffalo, WY; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert Musty and Edgar Musty; and a nephew, Sam Musty.
