Obituary

Ann Louise Miller

1962-2023

Ann Louise Miller, 62, passed away unexpectedly November 11th, 2023 at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital. She was born in Albuquerque, NM on January 11th, 1962. Her parents Edward and Betty Miller had the pleasure of raising her in their Albuquerque home alongside her two brothers, Greg and Rick. She graduated from Manzano High School in 1980. Ann was a loving and caring person. She had many talents and loved traveling to explore new places. Her smile was contagious and she could easily make friends anywhere. She was a great cook and typically was found in the kitchen cooking Mexican food usually with too many jalapeno peppers. She enjoyed serving and cooking for others. She had the biggest heart for animals (especially cats) and always had critters coming to visit her.

Ann spent the last year of her life in Rapid City, SD. She loved the Black Hills and somehow always found her way back there. She arrived with just a backpack on her. She utilized the services offered through Working Against Violence Inc (WAVI) and at Hope Center Ministries in Rapid City to help get on her feet again. Once she got her own place, she continued to give back. She was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need.

Ann suffered from alcoholism. In fact, her life ended short due to complications from this disease. Her family and friends always had hope for her recovery. Ann, you were so loved by so many. We all hope you are at peace now.

Ann is survived by her two brothers, Greg Miller of Toledo, OH, Rick (Sherry) Miller of Ayersville, OH, several nieces and nephews and countless friends that she had met along her journeys. She is preceded in death by her two parents Edward and Betty Miller.
