Anna R. Davis, age 88, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away, May 16, 2016, at the Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, NE.
Anna was born November 29, 1927, in Spearville, KS, to William R. and Mary M. Koch of Atwood, KS, and was one of six children. Anna married Earl Davis and they had five children; Mike, Susan, Lori, Mary and Kay. Anna's life was busy being a mom, loving wife and a full time teacher, which she loved. Recently, people have shared memories of Anna as a teacher and she was known as a hardcore teacher but loved her students and taught many life lessons that traveled with her students outside of the classroom. Anna enjoyed playing cards, going out to lunch with her friends, being involved in several different groups, camping, drawing, painting, embroidering and much more. Anna loved being a grandma; she had ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She loved spending time with them as much as she could. Anna enjoyed going to sporting activities, plays, etc., and celebrating holidays with them. She was very involved in her children's activities from 4-H, to camping, sports, and everyday living. Anna had a beautiful love for the Lord, was a devout Christian Catholic and lived her life as such. Anna and Earl had many adventures together over the 48 years they were married. She also was a breast cancer survivor and supported the cause.
