Obituary
Anna Schnetzky, 103, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away on February 17, 2017, at the Seven Sisters Nursing Home in Hot Springs.
Anna was born on June 29, 1913, to Balthasar and Theresa (Mattern) Reiss in Strasburg, ND. She was raised in Rural Trail City, 5 miles west of town, and attended the rural school there. Anna moved to Stayton, OR, in 1942, where she owned her own restaurant for 17 years, retiring in 1967. She married Vernon Schnetzky in 1974. In 1978, they moved to Hot Springs. Vernon passed away in May 1986.
Anna was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and St. John's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 25, 2017, at St. John's Lutheran Church near Hot Springs. Committal services will follow at the Smithwick Cemetery near Smithwick, SD.
