Annamae (Schoenfelder) Blume, 73, passed away in Custer, South Dakota on January 29, 2022.  She was born in Chamberlain, SD in 1948, to Catharine and Francis Schoenfelder, the third of eight children.

She earned a degree in sociology at South Dakota State University in Brookings and was a social worker in Lake Andes and Lead SD.  She helped many families and children and touched many lives throughout her career.  After her retirement in 2011 she moved back to Custer to spend time with the greatest joys in her life, her grandchildren, Connor & Reghan.  Being a Grammy was her favorite thing in life.

Annamae loved to make people laugh, shop for clothes, wear bold colors, and make photo scrapbooks for her family. She loved all her hats and had a hard time deciding which one to wear. She was a great storyteller and always willing to have a chat and laugh.

She is survived by her son, Steven Blume of Custer, his wife Amanda and their children Connor and Reghan; her siblings, Nob Schoenfelder and Marian Schoenfelder of Rapid City, SD, Jon Schoenfelder of Sheridan WY, Deb Shattil of Oakland, CA, Dar Steckelberg of Gig Harbor, WA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Annamae was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Richard, and her sister Kathy.
