Annette Marie Jones, age 65, passed away on May 16, 2019 at Fall River Health Services in Hot Springs, SD. She was born in Denver, CO on August 15, 1953, to Bernard Duane Jones and Mary Jean Berggren. Annette spent her early childhood in Denver. She later moved to Custer, South Dakota, where she met many of her lifelong friends, two being Denise Eiesland and Jeanne (Tennyson) Foss, sister to Patrick Tennyson. Annette and Patrick were married on July 17, 1975, and started a family soon after.

Annette enjoyed gardening, baking, bird watching, and homemaking. Aside from her family, one of her greatest passions was painting. She shared her love for nature by creating beautiful works of art that touched many people's lives. Her witty sense of humor often took you by surprise, and she was always genuinely interested in getting to know each and every person she met. Although she suffered physically for many years, her outlook on life always remained positive. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family, but her memory will live on through her art, and all of the memories we made together.

Annette is survived by her daughter, Sarah (Tim) Maciejewski and children: Camille, Caden, Caleb, Candra and Camron of Hot Springs, SD, and her son, Ryan (Jody) Tennyson and children: Gage, Maya and Carter of Custer, SD.

Annette was preceded in death by her father Bernard Duane Jones, her mother Mary Jean Berggren and longtime companion Art Prelle.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 24, 2019, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs, SD.
