Barry Lee Christensen, age 72, of Cody, NE, passed away April 25, 2012, at the VA Medical Center in Hot Springs, SD.

Barry was born January 24, 1940, in Omaha, NE, to Martin L. and Esther I. (Kersey) Christensen. He served in the United States Army from December 2, 1957, until his honorable discharge on December 1, 1960. After graduating from University of Denver School of Engineering he went on to enjoy a long and productive career in computers and automation engineering and enjoyed the many challenges this field offered to serve both the private sector as well as many communities long past the normal age of retirement.

A Celebration of Life will be held 4:00pm , Saturday, April 28, 2012, at The Hub in Cody, NE.

Barry is preceded in death by his half-brother, Larry Winship of Tampa, Fl. and is survived by his son, Phillip Christensen of San Diego; brother, Donald Christensen of Hot Springs, AR; and sister, Barbara Perrin of Denver, CO. and by nieces Mary Marrone, and Vicki Christensen, and nephews Larry Winship, David Winship, Michael Winship, Scott Christensen, Gary Perrin, and Greg Perrin.
