Dr. Barry L. Jacobs, an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians, New York Cattaraugus Territory, Turtle Clan, made his journey to the spirit world on January 15, 2022, as a result of Covid.

Barry was born May 18, 1955, in Gowanda, NY to Rev. Harold and Phyllis (John) Jacobs.  He attended Gowanda Central School, Gowanda, NY and the State University of New York at Buffalo.  He obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine - Temple University in 1986. He retired in 2020 and spent his retirement hanging out with family and indulging his grandchildren.

Barry loved music and travel, but mostly he loved his family and friends.

Barry is survived by his brother, Randall (Ellen) Jacobs of Allegany, NY; his daughters, Jamie Durrett and Charlie Hoffman both of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Nathaniel and Evangeline Durrett; Caroline and Cora-Lee Hoffman; his friends, Deb Skovbo, Cyrus Boman, and Maureen Reda.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Harold Sr and Phyllis; his brother, Harold Jr and his friend Dr. Ann Reda.

Barry was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who were lucky enough to share his time on earth.
