Obituary
Benson E. Carlson, formerly of Custer, SD, passed away March 21, 2023, at Seven Sisters Living Center in Hot Springs, SD.
Benson was born February 6, 1928, to Karl Simon and Hallie (Pond) Carlson in Hot Springs, SD. Benson proudly served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy until his honorable discharge.
Benson is survived by his wife, Beverly; sons, Mike (Sue) Carlson; Patrick (Sharon) Carlson; Kelly (Pam) Carlson; Dick (Christine) Carlson; brothers, John Henry Carlson; Charlie Carlson; sister, Sandy Petrick; 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Private committal services will be held this Spring at Pringle Cemetery in Pringle, SD.
