Betty Lou Aldin g er was born January 29, 1944, in Roscoe, SD, to Alma (Braunmeier) and Gus Aldinger. Betty moved to Custer when she was a small child and lived her life in Custer until moving to Rapid City in February 2022.

Betty loved baking, canning and playing cards during family gatherings. She loved her Bronco.. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She liked collecting Betty Boop items and the singer Josh Turner. And we certainly can't forget to mention that the way to make her very happy was to show up with a couple packs of Diet Coke!

Betty is survived by her daughter, Terri Carlson of, Newcastle, WY; son, Chuck (Joey) Carlson of Custer, SD; brother, Dennis (Ruby) Aldinger of Rapid City, SD; sister, Judi (Marlin) Green of Shenandoah, IA; granddaughters, Letea (Andrew) Wr ig ht; Hallie (Kurtis) Bell; Tessa (Quinten) Arp; Megan (Jerry) Deines; Geena (Justin) Reimers; Tayler (Tristan Waddington) Carlson; 7 great granddaughters; 2 great grand-sons and many nieces and nephews.

Betty passed away in Rapid City, SD on September 5th. 2022 at the age of 78.  Visitation will be held 9:00 a.m., Monday, September 12, 2022, at Custer Community Church in Custer, SD.  Funeral services will follow at 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2022.  Committal services will be held at Custer Cemetery in Custer, SD.

Arrangements have been placed under the local care of Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Custer, SD.
