Obituary

Betty M. Miller, of Hot Springs, passed away September 15th, 2012 in Rapid City South Dakota. She was born on September 4th, 1938 in Hill City, South Dakota. Betty attended Edgemont High School, where she graduated in 1957.

Betty and Rex were wed in June of 1960, before they moved to the Miller ranch near Minnekahta Junction. Betty worked numerous jobs throughout her life, but the two that she enjoyed the most were outfitting people in western wear at Merrill West, and working on the ranch, the lifestyle she loved. As a rancher, Betty could always be found on her four-wheeler with her dog, checking the cows.

Perhaps the most important job that Betty ever took on was being a grandma. She had five grandchildren, all of which she loved dearly. Betty is the mother of RexAnn Miller of Alliance, Nebraska, and Bill and Lisa Miller of Hot Springs. Her grandchildren are Josh Raskiewicz of Grand Island, Casey Raskiewicz, Marissa, Dani, and Sydney Miller, all of Hot Springs. Betty was always there for them every second of every day. Betty is also survived by her adopted mother, Ruth Snedeker of Newcastle, and her dear friend, Marie Orr of Hot Springs.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Rex, in 1983, Doreen Welborn, Ben Miller, and Betty Morgan.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs. Written condolences may be made at www.mccolleyschapels.com.
