Beverly Ann McBride 81, of Edgemont, SD, passed away March 1, 2022, at Douglas Care Center in Douglas, WY.

Beverly was born August 3, 1940, in Hot Springs, SD, to Carl and Evelyn (Melton) Reutter.  She attended grade school at Igloo, SD, up until the family moved to a ranch north of Edgemont.  Beverly graduated in 1958 from Edgemont High School.

Beverly married her high school sweetheart, Dale McBride, on June 29, 1958.  From that union they had 3 children, John, James and Deadra.

In 1977, they built the Hillsview Café and operated it along with Dale's sister, Arlie, and brother-in-law, Daryl Schumacher, until they sold it in the mid 1980's. Beverly also spent many years working for the Edgemont and Crawford Livestock Markets.

Beverly served on the Edgemont School Board and many other organizations during her lifetime, but her longest community commitment was to the Edgemont Ambulance Service, serving more than 30 years as an EMT and instructor.

Beverly's many hobbies included gardening, painting, sewing, baking and traveling, but her true love was spending time with family and friends.  Her home was open to anyone and was the main family meeting place for most holidays and many other gatherings, including the "Annual McBride Family Cookoff", which her and Dale started to celebrate their anniversary, every year in June.

Beverly was a friend to everyone and will be missed by all that knew her.

Beverly is survived by her sons, John (Heidi) McBride of Edgemont, SD; James McBride of Gillette, WY; daughter, Deadra (Scot) Geyer of Edgemont, SD; grandchildren, Mike (Vanessa) McBride; Lindsay Ferguson; Rylee Ferguson; Heather (Colt) Cain and 10 great grandchildren along with sisters-in-law, Arlie Schumacher, and Wanda Reutter.

Predeceasing Beverly is her husband, Dale; her parents; her brother, Edward; along with two grandsons, Zachary and Kyle Ferguson and step mother, Louise Reutter.

Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at Edgemont United Church in Edgemont, SD.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at Edgemont United Church in Edgemont, SD.  Committal services will follow at the Edgemont Cemetery in Edgemont, SD.
