Obituary

Bobby Hale Richesin, 91, of Custer, SD, passed away April 3, 2010, at Custer Regional Senior Care Center in Custer, SD.

Bobby was born October 21, 1918, in Bellefonte, AR, to William Claude and Zella Lois (Lair) Richesin. He was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Navy from October 12, 1942, until his honorable discharge on January 4, 1946. He worked as an airplane mechanic in the Civil Service at McClellan Air Force Base. On March 1, 1946, Bobby married Lillian Marie Tolliver, they were married for 64 years.

Bobby was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, he was also a member of AERC (American Endurance Ride Conference). As an outdoors man he enjoyed hunting and long distance riding. He enjoyed his Spanish Mustang 'Concho'. The horse was donated in his honor to Suncatchers Riding Academy. He loved children and believed riding a horse made life more meaningful.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian of Custer; daughter and son-in-law, Suzelle & Joe Johnston of Custer and one brother, Guy Richesin of Fresno, CA.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Custer with Pastor Robert Anderson officiating. Interment will be at the Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.

A memorial has been established in Bobby's name, contributions may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
