Buckley D. Grieser was born on July 23, 1937, in Broken Bow, Nebraska, to Daniel and Delma (Stutzman) Grieser. Buck passed away on June 5, 2019, at the age of 81, at his home in Hot Springs, South Dakota, with his family by his side. Buck made a lifelong choice to serve God at age 14. It touched every aspect of his life and made all the difference.
Buck married Beth, his dear wife of 61 years, on December 21, 1957. Buck and Beth have three children, Kevin, Keith, and Bonae'. Buck and Beth spent their earlier years of marriage on ranches and farms in Nebraska and South Dakota until the fall of 1968, when they moved to Denver, Colorado, while Buck went through transmission repair school. Upon completion of his training, in the spring of 1974, Buck and Beth moved to Alliance, Nebraska, where Buck opened a transmission business and continued there until he retired in 2002. In 2004, in their retirement, Buck and Beth moved to Hot Springs, South Dakota.
Buck is survived by his wife, Beth, Hot Springs; son, Kevin (Lois) Grieser of Alliance, Nebraska, son, Keith (Janna) Grieser of Hot Springs, South Dakota, and daughter, Bonae' (Roy) VonHeeder of Wright, Wyoming; three grandsons, Austin Grieser, Lars (Megan) Grieser, and Preston (Brianna) Allen; four granddaughters, Tanya (Matthew) Ivie, Tara (Josh Adamson) Grieser, Sadie Cloyd, and Karalynn Allen; five great-grandsons and seven great-granddaughters, DJ Hannah Ellicia Madison and Gabriel, Arya Aubrey and Leonard, Jackson and Oliver, Fayah and Maysa; two brothers, Benjamin (Chris)Grieser of Cheyenne, Wyoming, and William Grieser of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Diane Burton of Rapid City, South Dakota, and Mary (Oren) Beloskur of Rapid City, South Dakota. The circle of love includes nine nephews and six nieces, many great-nephews and great-nieces and great-great nephews and great-great nieces, and many dear friends.
Buck was preceded in death by his parents (Daniel and Delma); two brothers, Larry and Thomas; one brother-in-law, Vern Burton; three grandsons, Quinn Alexander, Nathan Andrew, and Cameron Scott; and one great-grandson, Lincoln Morris.
Memorial services will be held 5:00 p.m., Saturday, June 8, 2019, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
