Byron Ira Marteny, 88, of Custer, South Dakota, passed away April 3, 2024.
Byron was born July 23, 1935, in Nebraska, to Odin and Ruth (Robinson) Marteny. He married Janice in 1962 and they raised 7 children.
Byron is survived by his wife, Janice of Custer; sons, Tom Breen; Timmy Joe Marteny; Keith Marteny; Robert Marteny; Daniel Marteny; daughters, Susan Sparvell; Ann Kasiska; 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
He is predeceased by his parents; his grandaughter, Casey Parker; his siblings; Lee; Peggy; Gladys; Albert; Roger; Jerry; Charlie and John.
Services will be held at a later date.
