.Carol Ann Shafer, age 87, on February 12, 2018, a precious spirit soared to the arms of her Lord Jesus, peacefully surrounded in the love of her family. Carol was proud of her Swedish heritage, her traditional old recipes we all enjoyed will be carried on for generations to come. She created works of art in hand painted china, prize winning floral arrangements and quilts for all of her loved ones. Her delight in growing flowers and vegetables was enriched by her long and active membership in the Hill City Garden Club. Carol enjoyed cruises and many other travel adventures with Wes, her beloved husband of nearly 33 years, who survives her. They shared six children, twelve grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and more treasured extended family and friends than can be numbered.

Celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at the Little White Church in Hill City, SD, for which a memorial has been established.
