IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Caroline Sydney
Cofer
October 3, 1942 – May 11, 2025
Carrie Cofer was born in Missouri on October 3,1942 but soon moved to Colorado where she spent most of her life before finishing in Western South Dakota.
A over of science and science fiction she focused a lot of interest on the biology of life cycles, creating a sheep ranch where she bred sheep for wool color and dabbled with exotic fish.
Biology took her to medicine, specifically Emergency Medicine. She was an E.M.T. in Colorado and that led to emergency dispatching.
She was an enthusiastic and sometimes successful gardener, always trying interesting tricks to try to get the plants she wanted the way she wanted.
Carrie was also an enthusiastic and highly skilled baker with the ability to make the more exotic breads with ease, although her favorite late-night snack was usually drop biscuits.
She was a kind-hearted soul who liked to listen more than talk but was always ready for a hearty conversation and a good laugh.
Carrie Cofer passed away May 11 2025 of COPD.
She is survived by her son Kelly Yoss and daughter Linda Yoss.
