Carter was born February 18, 2005, to Philip and Shelley Bader in Kearney, Nebraska. Carter lived a life "his way" full of love, adventure, and a passion for the outdoors. He was a natural born outdoorsman who took great pride in hunting, fishing and wildlife conservation. Carter took great pride in providing his family with many meals and freezers full of his hunting and fishing spoils. A true craftsman from a very early age, Carter enjoyed learning to fix and build anything he could get his hands on alongside his dad. In his most recent years, Carter had really begun to fine tune and improve his carpentry and plumbing skills and planned to pursue a career in the trades. There was not a motor that Carter couldn't take apart and put back together, with the help of his strong and determined personality and a few YouTube videos. An adventurous spirit, if Carter was not hunting or working, he was often found with his friends on a dirt bike or anything else he could pop a wheelie on.
Grounded by a strong and loving family, Carter loved fiercely and unapologetically. Family life was important to Carter and as his many cousins will tell you, he took his job very seriously. An honest lover of life, Carter always shared his vivacious smirk, laugh, and attitude with everyone around him and never left anyone wondering where you stood or how much he cared. Nothing held Carter back from doing what he loved and those from all walks of life who have been touched by him, are better now because of it.
Carter leaves behind his parents, Philip and Shelley Bader of Custer; two sisters Madison (Tyler) Barta of Taylor NE; Riley (Jesse) Burianek of Lincoln NE and a brother, Ethan of Custer. Grandparents Mark and Karen Meyer of New Salem ND and Richard and Gerri Bader of Broken Bow NE and a Great Grandmother Sharon Meyer of Gothenburg NE, as well as numerous beloved aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends.
Arrangements have been placed under the local care of Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Custer, SD.
