Celia M. Shanahan, 69, of Custer, SD, passed away at her home on January 25, 2026.

Celia was born May 2, 1956, in Champaign, Illinois to Francis and Theresa (Eickstien) Woodworth. She was raised in Tolono, Illinois, lived many years in Ramona, CA and most recently resided in Custer.

Celia was a hairstylist for many years. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. She created beautiful art and jewelry which was inspired by Custer State Park, a park she loved. Celia will be remembered for her kindness, her resilient spirit, her fun personality and her friendliness.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Francis and Theresa Woodworth and her brother, Steve Woodworth.

She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Dave; daughter, Kristy (Matt) Parker; grandchildren, Jennifer; Matthew; Jacob; sisters, Cheryl (Dick) Cain; Amy Richardson as well as nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
