Obituary
Charlene Kay Kennedy, age 74, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away, October 25, 2015, at the Rapid City Regional Hospice House in Rapid City, SD.
Charlene was born May 21, 1941, in Sioux City, IA, to Raymond and Mildred (Jackson) Marks. She worked in Colorado for 20 years as a Social Services worker. Ten years ago Charlene received a lung transplant in Colorado then moved to Hot Springs. She was avid for dogs and deeply loved her German Shepard, Byron.
Charlene is survived by two sons, Jeffery Kennedy of Torrington, WY; Raymond Kennedy of Mesa, AZ; daughter, Dawn (Brian) Burford of Colorado; sister, Dona (Carl) Atchley of Hot Springs; and four grandchildren, Zachary Kennedy serving in The United States Navy; Jeremy Kennedy serving in The United States Navy; Chance Burford; and Shane Burford.
Private family services will be held.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Charlene's name to benefit the Battle Mountain Humane Society in Hot Springs.
