Obituary
Charles Edward Boman, age 74, of Edgemont, SD, passed away December 1, 2013, at the Castle Manor Nursing Home in Hot Springs, SD.
Charles was in the United States Army where he served in Korea and also during the Vietnam War. Charles worked with telephone service. He met his wife, Shirley Ann Muhm while in the Army and they married February 26, 1965.
Charles enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting in his more active life. He retired from Fort Sheridan and moved back to Edgemont to care for Shirley's mother who had Alzheimer's disease.
Charles was a Deacon in the First Baptist Church, and was very active in the church. He had a stroke and eventually was placed in Castle Manor Nursing Home where he lived for four years and passed away of kidney failure. The staff was very helpful to him.
Charles is survived by his wife, Shirley of Edgemont.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, December 9, 2013, at the Baptist Church in Edgemont with Pastor Marion Gray officiating. Interment will be held at a later date.
