Charles Lee 'Chuck' Huddleston, age 63, passed away on December 8, 2014, at his home in Hot Springs, SD.
Chuck was born on May 19, 1951, in Hot Springs, SD, to Don and Geraldine (Palmgren) Huddleston. He earned his high school GED in the early 1970's then proudly served in the United States Army from November of 1974 until his honorable discharge in April of 1981. He received numerous awards and military education in the Signal Corp and loved working on the satellites overseas in Korea, Italy, France and wherever else he was called.
Chuck will be best remembered for the lives he touched while driving the Friendship Bus. He even assisted the wheelchair bound and elderly from the bus to their living rooms. As a handyman, Chuck would always be the first on in line to help family and others with projects or whoever needed a helping hand. He loved working with electronic, electrical and cement work. A true "Jack of all Trades" and a man who dabbled in everything, Chuck also worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad in the 1970's.
Chuck loved fishing and enjoyed taking Mom on long Saturday or Sunday drives to roads unknown, just to see where they led. He liked to canoe, inner tube, and in his youth, waterskiing and swimming. Chuck always dreamed of canoeing or tubing the Mississippi River to New Orleans. He loved gardening and planting roses and other flowers. Chuck loved his long-haired Chihuahuas, they were his babies.
