Obituary

Chris Irving Fiedler, age 62, passed away Monday, May 24, 2010, at his residence in Hot Springs, SD.

Chris was born February 9, 1948, in Long Beach, CA, to Charles Thomas and Mary Jane (Short) Fiedler. He attended Lake Wood High School Class of 1966. He worked in the airline industry from 1967 until 1972. In 1972 he joined the Hot Springs Police Department and retired as a Sgt in 1978.

After his law enforcement career he began employment as a conductor for the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railroad, where he retired after 31 years of service. This career brought him many years of happiness.

Survivors include his loving wife of 19 years, Beverly Fiedler; devoted father, to son, TJ and Nancy Fiedler and their children, Thomas Wade and Lily Mae Fiedler; daughters, Missy Fiedler Edwards and her children, LilyAnn Faith and Annabelle Jane Edwards and their father, Tommy Edwards; daughter, Alesha Mary Bailey; sister, Denice (Ken) Sons and their five sons; step-father, John (Jessie) Simon and numerous nieces and nephews.

Chris was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Craig and Dusty Fiedler.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2010, at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs with Pastor Morris Nelson officiating.

In lieu of flowers and memorial has been established in Chris' name.
