Obituary
Christine Claire (Ferguson) Mattern, age 69, passed away March 15, 2012 in Gretna, Nebraska.
Survivors include her children, John P. (Julie) Mattern; Kathy Mattern (Mandy Axmann); Steven (Rebecca) Mattern; brother, Tony (Julie) Shedden; three grandchildren; nieces, Amber (Bob) Correa; Nichole Shedden; nephews, Chris and Sam Shedden and John H. Mattern.
She loved many and was loved by many.
Christine was preceded in death by her parents, Ellen Shedden and James Ferguson and step-father, Thomas Shedden.
A visitation will be held from 12:00 until 3:00 p.m., Sunday, March 18, 2012, at the Bethany Funeral Home Chapel in La Vista, NE. An additional visitation will be held from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 20, 2012, at St. James Catholic Church in Edgemont, SD. Graveside services will follow at the Edgemont Cemetery with Father Peter Kovarik officiating.
A memorial has been established in Lorilee's name to benefit the Alzheimer's Association Midland's Chapter (1941 S. 42nd St., Suite 205, Omaha, NE 67105) or Lord of Hosts Church (5351 S. 139th Plaza, Omaha, NE 68137))
Arrangements have been placed in the care of Bethany Funeral Home in La Vista, NE and McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Edgemont, SD. Written condolences may be made at www.mccolleyschapels.com.
