Obituary
Clara Bernice Wiley Zaugg, age 92, of Custer, SD died December 2, 2006 at Custer Regional Senior Care in Custer, SD.
Clara was born July 4, 1914 to John and Bertha (Gilman) Wiley in Burwell, Nebraska. She married Herman O. Zaugg on March 9, 1933 in Murdo, SD and to this union five children were born. Clara lived most of her life in the rural Quinn and Phillip area in South Dakota and then moved to Custer, SD in 1953. Herman and Clara moved to Oelrichs, SD in 1971 but returned to Custer in 1979.
Clara is survived by her children, Everett (Lois) of Murdo, SD; Joyce Nagle of Custer, SD; Connie (Harold) Frauendorfer of Humphrey, NE; Debbie (Hank) Humiston of Albuquerque, NM; nineteen grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, which is expected in July, 2007.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Eugene; son-in-law, Bob Nagle, six brothers and two sisters.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, December 4, 2006 at Custer Lutheran Fellowship with Pastor David Van Kley officiating.
Interment will follow at the Custer Cemetery.
Arrangements have been placed in the care of McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Custer.
