Claude Noel Miller, 83 years old, went to be with the Lord on September 26, 2013, surrounded by his family. Claude was born in Marmarth, ND, to Leon Ware and Beatrice Olson on October 11, 1929.
He went to school in Marmarth and at the age of 17, he went into the Army Air Corps , he was stationed in Guam for three years. After his discharge he spent some time working on farms. He was taught welding on Guam and continued with this trade throughout his career.
Claude owned and operated his own portable welding service during the 30 years he lived in California.
In 1950 in Kansas, Claude became part of a combine crew owned by Russell and Harold Wyatt. They have remained lifelong friends.
Claude lived the way he wanted and enjoyed life to the fullest.

He is survived by Sue, his wife of 52 years; their daughter, Arla of Upland, CA, and granddaughter, Morgan; and sister, Ilene Brookbank of Mitchell, SD.
He was preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley, Wyonna and Irene.
Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 5, 2013, at the Southern Hills Evangelical Free Church in Hot Springs with Pastor Gary Jacobson officiating.
