Claudia J. Speckels, 75, of Custer, SD, passed away February 17, 2022, at her residence in Custer.

Claudia was born July 6, 1946, in Medesto, CA, to Marvin and Beverly (Percival) Hall.  She graduated from the University of California in Santa Barbara and married Jerome 'Joe' Speckels in 1970.  Joe's job required many moves and they lived in numerous places in the United States, finally settling in Custer many years ago.

Claudia enjoyed nature and being in the outdoors.  Watching the wildlife and the sunrises and sunsets were the highlights of her day.   She was a devoted wife and mother and loved her family.

Claudia is survived by her husband, Jerome 'Joe' Speckels of Custer; her mother, Beverly Hall of Reno, NV; her son, Tom Speckels of Anchorage, AK; her daughter, Kay (Kraig) Speckels of Senora, CA; her brother, Mark (Marge) Hall of Sandpoint, ID; her sister, Sherry (Harold) Bollenbacher of Reno, NV and many nieces and nephews.

Private services will be held at a later time.
