Claudine Joy Cacek, born on April 17,1927, in Aurelia, IA, passed away at the Custer Regional Senior Care
on January 1, 2019, at the age of 91.

Claudine attended country schools until high school, at which time she attended and graduated from
Aurelia High School in 1945. Following high school, Claudine worked as a telephone operator in Aurelia,
IA, California and Storm Lake, IA, for an extended number of years.

She married Roy August Cacek on December 15, 1949, in Cherokee, IA. They lived in Alta, IA
where their two daughters (Kathleen Arm and Linda Joye) were born. In 1957, they moved to
Custer, SD, where Claudine worked at the Custer Community Hospital, Coast to Coast, Judy's Cafe and
Ray Auer's Gift Shop.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda J. (Bruce) Holmes of Custer, SD; stepson, Bryce T. (Sue) Cacek, Sr. of
Nevada, IA; granddaughter, Tammi (Brad) Hicken and their daughter, Carrington of Lincoln, NE;
grandsons, Bryce T. (Kristina) Cacek, Jr. and their son, Matthew of San Antonio, TX; Roy A.(Holly) Cacek
their daughter, Claire of Des Moines, IA; granddaughter, Erika Cacek and her sons Drew and Dillon;
grandson, Michael Cacek all of Deridder, LA; also numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Claudine is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Cacek; daughter, Kathleen Lester; stepson, Raymond
Cacek; brother, Lee F. Johns; parents, Cyril and Nora Johns.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Claudine's name to benefit the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Custer, SD, 57730.

A visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2019, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Custer, SD.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Custer. Committal services will follow at the Custer Cemetery.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Custer.
