Cu Ly, age 89, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away on February 20, 2017, at a friend's home near Hot Springs.
Cu was born in Vietnam on June 6, 1927, to Mahn Ly and Tha Phan. Cu grew up in Vietnam, where she enjoyed being the owner of a convenience store and helping out her community. She moved to the United States in 1992. Cu loved to spend time with her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, she also enjoyed gardening and being outdoors.
Cu is survived by three daughters, Mui Vong (Phan Sam) who own the China Buffet in Hot Springs; Xia Mei Vong (Feng Chin) of Chadron, NE; Xia Gin Vong of China; 3 sons, Zhi Qing Vong (Jiao Zhang) of Hot Springs; Zhi Thorn Vong of Vietnam; Zhi Sing Vong of China; step-daughter, Yee Ja Vong of Canada; daughter in law, Sing Mei of Colorado; step daughter, Ooh Mei of China; 31 grandchildren including: Phap Sam (Heather Ulland) of Hot Springs; Loon Sam of Denver, CO; Xau Sam of Denver, CO; Chuoi Sam of Denver CO; Guona Feng of Chadron, NE; Neng Feng of Chadron, NE; Bao Ding of Chadron, NE; Anfu of Chadron, NE; An Mei of Chadron, NE; and 48 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father, Mahn Ly; mother, Tha Phan; and her step-son, Zhi Jun Vong.
