Cynthia grew up in Custer, graduated high school in 1984 and married Darcy D. Smith on February 8, 1986.   She was an avid cook which she became a manager at Pizza Hut and later manager at Big D.  She had a love for horses and reading romantic novels.  She put a smile on all who talked to her.  She enjoyed her customers as well.

Cynthia is survived by her mother, Deloris J. Tisler in McCleray, WA; husband, Darcy D. Smith of Custer; 3 children, Samuel W. Smith; Tabihta E. Austin (Smith); David R. Smith; 3 grand daughters, 2 brothers, Jim Wheeler of Byron; GA; Leonard Wheeler of Glendale, AZ; half brother, R.J. Wheeler; half sister, Opal Wheeler of Belle Fourche, SD; many aunts; uncles; cousins; nieces and nephews.

Preceding Cynthia in death is her father, Ronald E. Wheeler.

Visitation will be held 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Friday, October 30, 2020, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Custer, SD.

Committal services will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 31, 2020, at Custer Cemetery in Custer, SD.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Cynthia's name.
