Daniel L. "Dan" Gallett, age 74, passed away on September 9, 2016, at his home in Hot Springs, SD.

Dan was born on August 5, 1942, in Green Bay, WI, to Lester and Iris (Jacobson) Gallett. He served the United States Army and Army Reserves from 1964-1969. After his military service he farmed in Missouri and Minnesota. Dan bought land in Hot Springs, SD in the early 1990's and with the help of his sons they built Kemo Sabay Campground. Once the campground was established he proceeded to build the storage units. He loved project planning and building things. Dan was an avid reader. His small cattle herd was his latest project.

Dan is survived by his wife, Deborah Gallett of Hot Springs; sons, Otis (Tamara) Gallett and children, Danielle, Logan, Landon of Phoenix, AZ; Gus (Carin) Gallett and children, Evan, Mallory and Hailey of Phoenix, AZ; Andrew Gallett of Phoenix, AZ; Michael (Jaime) Gallett and daughter Mattilynn; daughter, Sarah (Justin) Gallett and children, Tommy and Glorianna of Hastings, MN; brother, David Gallett of Phoenix, AZ.

He is preceded in death by his first wife, Gloria; parents, Dr. Lester Gallett and Iris Jacobson Gallett.
