Darald Glen Bly, 82, of Custer, SD, passed away October 1, 2024, at the Dept of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Hot Springs, SD.  Darald was born August 15, 1942, in Minnesota, to Glen Lewis and Ada Mary (Swartz) Bly.

Darald proudly served as a medic in Vietnam until his honorable discharge in 1965.   Darald worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Montana, retiring and moving to SD.

Darald is survived by his sons, Durant Bly of Hot Springs; Devin (Quinta Hoke) of Montana; partner, Mary Milne of Hill City, SD; 3 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Committal services will be held 11:30 a.m., Friday, October 18, 2024, at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD with military honors presented.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs, SD.
