Darlene Martha Hogan, age 74, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2010, at her home in Buffalo Gap, SD.

Darlene was born November 5, 1936 in Todd County, SD, to Andrew and Lillian Poignee. She had five brothers, Dale, Norm, Wilbur 'Shorty', Jerry and Raygene. In 1955 she married Tom Rasmussen, to this union three children were born, Deb, Tom and Nancy. Darlene and Tom ranched until they moved to Buffalo Gap in 1976. They owned the T & D Market from 1976 until 1980. Tom passed away in 1984 at the age of 52.

In 1985 Darlene married A.D. Hogan and moved to Ruston, Louisiana. After Joe's death in 1997, she returned to her family and friends in Buffalo Gap where she lived until her death.

Survivors include her son, Thomas (Tericia) Rasmussen of Kearney, NE; daughters, Deborah (Mike) Halls of Buffalo Gap; Nancy Rasmussen of Rapid City, SD; brother, Raygene Poignee of Crookston, NE; twelve grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and many family and friends.

Visitation will be from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 29, 2010, at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 30, 2010, at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs with Ryan Chapel officiating. Interment will follow at the Buffalo Gap Cemetery.
