Darlene "Dar' Sager, age 83, passed away on May 2, 2016, at her home in Custer, SD.

Darlene was born on the family farm in Yoder, WY, to Christina and William Eisenbarth on March 12, 1933. She grew up in Torrington, Wyoming and married the love of her life William E. Sager on January 7, 1951. To this union, three daughters were born: Gail, Kerry and Billie Lee. They moved to Custer, in 1954 and operated the Skyway Restaurant and Lounge for 31 years. After retiring in 1995, Bill and Dar enjoyed spending their winters in McCallen, TX, and summers in Custer. Darlene enjoyed golfing and cooking for friends and family. She loved to tell a good joke, and a "not so good" joke. Making people laugh brought her great joy. Darlene was an active member of the Custer Community Church, Fidelis Circle, Republican Women, previous member of Daughters of the Nile and past member of Beta Sigma Phi Chapter SI Alpha Iota.

Darlene was an amazing woman who will be truly missed by her daughters, Gail Bissell of Custer; Kerry Steever of Custer; Billie Lee Vigil of Goleta, CA; sister, Mary Ann (Gary) Ayers of Gilbert, AZ; grandchildren, Ryan (Tori) Bissell of Spearfish; Andy (Tara) Bissell of Lexington, KY, Sr; Rosalie Steever M.C. of Mexico City, Mexico; Lisa (Joe) Trana of Custer; Jenny (Jacob) Diedtrich of Custer; Brenna Lee Vigil of Goleta, CA; 7 wonderful great grandchildren; neighbors of 40 years Jim & Elaine Emery and numerous others she was blessed to call friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings and loving husband.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at the Custer Community Church with Reverend Drs. Richard & Jeri Behringer officiating.

Following the service, family and friends will gather at Rocky Knolls Golf Course west of Custer.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Darlene's name to benefit the Custer Community Church.
