Darrel Kenneth Krick, 83, of Rapid City, SD passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Michael Fitzmaurice South Dakota State Veterans Home in Hot Springs, SD, where he resided since March. He was born in Rapid City on September 3, 1934, to Kenneth E. Krick and Margaret A. Krick. He joined his older brother Wayne, sister Audre, and two years later his life-long partner in crime and younger brother, Donnie. He was father to Kenny (Peggy) and Lonna (Craig) Reiner; grandpa to Kenny (Kelly), Kristi, Kyle (Teresa), Brianna (Chad), Cory (Nina), and Kelsey (Ben); great-grandpa to Alyssa, Seth, Dani, Shanda, Madysenne, Gracie, Isabel, Jordyn, Ryli, Jaxin, Greysen, and Lanegan. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, sister, and granddaughter Kristi. Those he leaves behind will miss this grumpy old man until the day we meet again. Rest in peace, Dad.

Memorial services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 3, 2017, at Michael Fitzmaurice South Dakota State Veterans Home with Rev. Tom Peacock officiating. Committal services will be held at 2:00 p.m., November 3, 2017, at the Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD, with Military Honors provided by the United States Navy and the Sturgis Veterans Honor Guards.
