David Carl Hansen, 76.10 years old, was held in the arms of Jesus, his savior, October 24, 2018, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Dave was born in Fort Smith, Arkansas on January 11, 1942. On May 31, 1969, he married his blind date, Sharon Ellis and they were married 49.5 years.

Dave loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, driving his 4X4, looking for rocks and doing anything that took him outside.  He loved playing tricks on people.  Any help he could be to friends or strangers, he was there. Dave loved visiting with anyone. Many chainsaw bears, furniture, stained glass art, were his creations.

Dave's life will be cherished by his wife Sharon.  His children: Betsy (Daniel) Hof of Casper, WY; Corry (Scott) Neuhauser of Spearfish, SD. Grandchildren: Sofia and Owen Hof (Laramie,WY) Marisa and Austin Neuhauser (Spearfish, SD):  Sister:  Diane (Marvin) Kay (Golden, CO).

Memorial services will be held at 4:00pm, Saturday, October 27, 2018 at Custer Lutheran Fellowship, Custer, SD. Please wear bright clothing. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Outlaw Ranch to help kids attend Outlaw Ranch Camp. Please put "In memory of Dave Hansen" in the memo.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Custer, SD.
