David Allen Parsons passed away peacefully surrounded by his family in the early morning hours of May 6, 2024.

David was born November 4, 1945 in Redfield, SD to Greer and Marcella Parsons.  He was the second of 5 children.  He grew up in Custer, SD and graduated from Custer High School in 1964.

David worked in the logging industry for many years hauling logs to local sawmills.  In his late career he switched over to hauling propane in the Custer area.  Dave took pride in doing a job well and loved to work and to support his family.

In July of 1971 David married Linda Tranna.  They made their home in Custer and to this union were born 2 sons, Troy & Corey.

David was predeceased by his parents, Greer & Marcella Parsons, his former wife Linda & his brother Gary Parsons.

Davis is survived by his 2 sons, Troy Parsons & special friend Nicole of Custer, SD, Corey (Jeanne) Parsons of Avoco, MN, brothers Ron Parsons of Spearfish, Billy Joe Parsons of Custer and a sister, Linda Davis of Fleming Island, FL.  He had (5) grandchildren; Cody, Jasmine, Patience, Kate & David as well as two great grandchildren Clay & Whitley as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

At David's request there will not be a funeral or burial service.
