Delores Gisi was born December 16, 1934 at Sturgis, SD, to Aileen (Chafee) and Harold Remington.  She attended school at Sturgis and graduated from Sturgis High School. She went on to college at Denver College and received a business degree.

She later met Gordon Gisi, they married and had four children, Randy, Kirk(deceased), Stephanne (Stenson), and Jon. She worked 27 years at Ellsworth AFB, retired and went on to pursue a nursing career receiving a degree from the School of Nursing in Rapid City. She started working at Black Hills Pediatric where she worked until she retired.

She enjoyed the family farm where she raised buffalo for many years. Delores always put her family first and was always there for them, never thinking of herself first, she was "one of a kind ". She is already missed. She is survived by 2 sons, a daughter, six grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, August 23, 2024, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Custer, SD with committal services following at 2:30 p.m., at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.
