Delphine N. 'Del' Beery, 94, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away March 15, 2018, at the Pine Hills Retirement Community in Hot Springs.

Delphine was born on November 18, 1923, in Bristol, SD, to John J. and Anne (Ulrickson) Becht. After receiving her Master's degree from Chadron State College, she became the elementary school librarian and substitute teacher for a number of years in Hot Springs. Delphine also worked with the Literacy Council which was very dear to her. She was married to Richard H. Beery just shy of 50 years. Delphine was very crafty. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, baking lots of pies and cookies, crossword puzzles, playing bridge, and golfing.

Delphine is survived by her sons, Greg (Barb) Beery and Tim Beery of Hot Springs; daughter, Cindy (Mark) Hughes of Williston, ND; 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held 5:00 p.m., Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
