Dennis Allen Kazmer, 72, of Oral, SD, passed away April 8, 2021, at Monument Health Rapid City Hospital in Rapid City, SD.

Dennis was born November 5, 1948, in the Sister's Hospital in Hot Springs, SD, to Wayne and Kathryne "Kate" (Renz) Kazmer.  He grew up and lived in Oral, SD his whole life.  He went to elementary and middle school in Oral, SD, graduating from Hot Springs High School in 1968.  In the fall of 1968, he attended Black Hills Area Vocational School for auto mechanics and joined the National Guard for 6 years.  He married Linda Gilles of Hot Springs on August 31, 1974 and they made their home on the farm that his Dad had, living there from 1974 to 2000.  They sold the farm and moved 3 miles East of Oral from 2000 until his death.

He worked for Birdsall Sand Company as a Plant Operator, Pete Liens & Sons and SD Department of Transportation.  He retired in April 2013.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Linda of Oral; daughter, Beth (Scott) Lyon of Rapid City; son Allen Kazmer (Leslee Colgan) of Rapid City and two grandchildren, Zoey and Zane Lyon of Rapid City.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepdad (Harry McClung).

Per Dennis's request, grave side services will be held 1:00 p.m.,  Friday, April 16 ^{th, 2021,} at the Oral Cemetery.  Celebration of Dennis' Life will be held after his grave side service, at the old Oral School.
