A Celebration of Dennis' Life will be held 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 19, 2021, at the Pringle Community Hall in Pringle, SD.

Dennis Allen Kinnamon, 76, of Custer, SD, passed away August 23, 2021, at Monument Health Custer Hospital in Custer, SD.

Dennis was born May 4, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY, to Leonard and Priscilla Kinnamon. Dennis proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He married Rose Floden on July 22, 1967.  Dennis and Rose were residents of Custer from 1973-1987 where Dennis was a building contractor.  They moved to Texas and ranched there from 1987-1998.  They then moved to Rockford, Illinois to be closer to their son and grandson, where Dennis was a Superintendent of a construction company. Dennis retired in 2005 from Ringland Johnson Construction Company to spend all of his spare time in his shop, working on his many hot rod cars. In 2020, Dennis and Rose moved back to Custer with family.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Steve (Kirk) Kinnamon.

Dennis' survivors include his wife, Rose; son, Tim (Kellie) and grandson, Nolan; sisters, Maureen Herbert; Patty Schweglar and brother, Mike Kinnamon.

There will be a Celebration of Dennis' Life at a later date.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Custer, SD.
