Dolores Torres, 97, of Edgemont, SD left this world to be with our Heavenly Father on Sunday, December 23, 2007 at the Castle Manor Nursing Home in Hot Springs, SD.

Dolores was born September 10, 1910 in Bent, NM to Lenore and Esquipula Gallegos. She enjoyed a long and happy life among her family and friends. She was devoted to her faith and her family who will mess her presence in their lives.

Dolores is survived by her nine children: Consuelo Beatrice Torres of Edgemont; Evangeline Torres of Edgemont; Gonazlo (Marilyn) Torres of Rapid City, SD; Javier (Arvella) Torres of Lead, SD; Candido Torres of Hot Springs; Jose Torres of Rockford, IL; Maria Riley of Colorado Springs, CO; Eleanor Ribordy of Northglenn, CO; Magdelena Atkinson of Glenwood Springs, CO; one sister, Louisa DeLeon of Rapid City, SD; twelve grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Candid Torres, Sr.; one son, Theodore Torres; one grandson, Tracy Torres; and four brothers and three sisters.

Wake services will be held 7:00 p.m., Friday, December 28, 2007, at St. James Catholic Church in Edgemont.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, December 29, 2007 at St. James Catholic Church in Edgemont with Fr. Peter Kovarik officiating. Interment will follow at the Edgemont Cemetery near Edgemont.
