Obituary

Long-time Hot Springs resident Don Eisenreich, age 58, died at his home September 24, 2008.

Don was born in Gordon, NE on July 4, 1950 to Thomas and Della (Burki) Eisenreich. He attended Gordon grade school and a small school in the sandhills where his family lived on the Saultz ranch. The family moved to Hot Springs in 1960, where Don graduated from high school in 1968. He attended Black Hills State College.

Don married Diann Long on March 31, 1973 and one daughter, Julie was born to this union.
Don was very active in the Hot Spring community, owning in partnership "The Bar" in Hot Springs. Don loved to play golf and was well liked and respected by his many friends. He will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his daughter Julie (Eisenreich) Dawson of Oregon and grandchildren Jiliane, Lukas and Morgan who he loved very much; his sister, Christine (Bruce) Rodgers of Pennsylvania, and many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Donald and Gerta Eisenreich; Lea and Christ Burki Sr.; his parents, Tom and Della; aunts and uncles.

Memorial services will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 30, 2008 at McColley's Chapel of the Hills in Hot Springs with Pastor Loyd Nielson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society.
