Donald Roy Jensen, 87, of Hot Springs, South Dakota, passed away on October 15, 2018, in Rapid City, SD.

Donald was born December 31, 1930, to Thelma (Hildebrand) and Roy Jensen in Plankington, SD.  Raised on a farm he married Maxine Cavigelli in 1951, and continued farming until he lost his arm in a farming accident in 1963.   In 1971, they moved to Golden, CO, and worked at Coors Brewing Company for two years and purchased Golden Bowl in 1974.

Don was an avid bowler, pool player and softball player.  He organized numerous leagues in all three sports and sponsored many softball teams.   His other passions included fishing and hunting.

Don's children are Debra Weishaupl, Richard Jensen (deceased), and Brenda Gamache, all of Hot Springs.

Don's grandchildren are Jason Parker; David Weishaupl; Jared Gamache, all of Hot Springs; Shane Parker of Lakewood, CO; and Chrstine McGarriglle of Custer, SD.

Don's great grandchildren are Jason (Brodie) Parker of Hot Springs, SD; Chase and Logan Parker of Lakewood, CO; and Gadge and Devany McGarrigle of Custer, SD.

Don is preceded in death by his parents, Thelma and Roy Jensen of Golden, CO; sister, Jean Hanna of Golden, CO; brother, Ronald Jensen of Pleasantview, CO; and son, Richard Jensen of Hot Springs, SD.

A celebration of life service will be held May of 2019 in Golden, CO.  Date to be announced later.
