Donald Lee Spencer, 87, of Edgemont, SD, passed away May 8, 2024, at his home.  Donald was born June 2, 1936, in Custer, SD, to Miles and Kathryn (Richardson) Spencer.  He attended school in Burdock and then graduated from Edgemont High School in 1954.   In 1959 he married Pat Weaver.  They had one daughter, Diane Spencer.

Donald was first and foremost a rancher.  He also worked for Silver King Mine hauling uranium and occasionally he hauled livestock in cattle pot.   He was the Director of FHA.     Donald was in rodeo in high school and the NRCA and participated in the Old Timer Rodeo.  He bulldogged, team roped and calf roped.  He enjoyed team roping on weekends in Wyoming.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Pat of Edgemont, daughter, Diane (Howard Lamb) Spencer of Ericson, NE; grandson, Miles (Shayla Duarte) VanUden of Edgemont and nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his parents.

Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M., Monday, May 20, 2024 at Edgemont United Church in Edgemont, SD.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. with committal services at the Edgemont Cemetery in Edgemont, SD.
