Donna Kay Dryden, 69, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away April 2, 2017, at the Fall River Hospital in Hot Springs.
Donna was born July 22, 1947, in Hot Springs to Lee George and Martha (Vollmer) Miner.
There are so many words to say about Donna but one phrase that has always stuck with us:
"Mother, you gave the gift of life to me, and then in love you set me free. I thank you for all your tender care, for the deep warm hugs, and for always being there."
All of these words are true about the beautiful Angel we lost. Donna was always a kind-hearted woman whose door was always open. A smile that would light up your bad day. A laugh that would make you bubble up with laughter and share that moment with her. Family and making memories were things she knew best. Donna spread her family beyond blood and spent 40+ years caring for others as a wonderful med nurse and coworker.
Donna is survived by her three daughters, Stephanie Vollmar of Hot Springs; Lori (Ervin) Morse of Box Elder, SD; Wendy Dryden of Hot Springs; six grandchildren, Ashley Vollmar; Amber Vollmar; Avonn Vollmar; William Vollmar; Kaylee Bores A Hole; and Jessalyn Bores A Hole.
Lost but never forgotten, until we meet again.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 5, 2017, at Chamberlain McColley's Funeral Home in Hot Springs.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
