Doris Jean Polzine, age 93, of Hot Springs, SD, passed away September 12, 2015, at the Seven Sisters Living Center in Hot Springs.

Doris was born in Hot Springs, April 26, 1922, to Ray and Frances (Roe) Pierce. She grew up on the family farm located on Cascade Road, south of Hot Springs. Doris attended Sheps Canyon School for eight years and graduated from Hot Springs High School. She was united in marriage to William Edward Polzine. Her husband was in the United States Marine Corps. They had two children. Doris moved to New Jersey and worked for the Department of Agriculture in Hoboken, NJ. In 1990, after her husband's death she moved back to Hot Springs.

Doris is survived by her daughter, Carol Webb of Edgemont, SD; son, Raymond Polzine of Hastings, MN; brother, Leonard (Sheryl) Pierce of Minneapolis, MN; and one grandchild.

Committal services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2016, at the Evergreen Cemetery in Hot Springs with Pastor Mark Crossman officiating. Refreshments will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, June 10, 2016, at Dale's Family Restaurant.
