Dorothy Edna Eirich, age 91, died in her sleep February 6, 2010, at her home at the Pine Hills Retirement Community, Hot Springs, SD.

Dorothy was born May 5, 1918, at St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of William and Elsie (Moeller) Wurl.

Her son, Wayne, adds this: "God saw that she was getting tired, and a cure was not to be, So he put his arms around her, and whispered "Come with me." With tearful eyes we watched her suffer; and saw her fade away. Although we loved her dearly, we could not make her stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. My beloved mother, When God saw a cure was not to be, He took your hand gently and said come with me. And so "our" lovely mother, May God be with you until we meet again." Author Unknown.

Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2010, at Our Redeemer Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.

A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 16,2010, at Pine Hills Retirement Community in Hot Springs.

Dorothy is survived her are her son, Wayne Eirich and his wife Judy (Cleveland) of Custer, SD; grandson, Christopher Eirich of Taos, NM; and granddaughter, Shana (Eirich) Perez of Cassville, MO. Also surviving are great grandchildren, Daisy and Dean Eirich of Taos, NM; and Walker, Clayton, Addison, and Alexa of Cassville, MO.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Melvin.
